The Swiss Datacenter Efficiency Association (SDEA) is pleased to announce that its flagship platform, the SDEA Navigator, was selected as a finalist in the category “Data Centre Sustainability Innovation of the Year” at the DCS Awards 2025, held in London on May 22.

This nomination represents a significant acknowledgment of SDEA’s mission to bring transparency, measurability, and operational relevance to sustainability in datacenter and IT operations. Developed as a practical tool to evaluate energy use, IT efficiency, and emissions across the full technology stack, the SDEA Navigator enables operators to move beyond theoretical metrics and assess real-world performance.
As a non-profit consortium, SDEA is particularly honored by the recognition, which comes in the context of a highly competitive field of commercial players and large-scale technology providers. While the award ultimately went to another organization, SDEA views its nomination as a clear signal that the industry is shifting toward data-driven, comprehensive approaches to sustainability.
SDEA extends its congratulations to this year’s winners and thanks all those who supported the nomination. SDEA remains committed to developing robust tools and standards that help datacenter operators and IT leaders navigate the transition to low-emission, high-efficiency digital infrastructure.
