What Is the
SDEA Navigator?

The SDEA Navigator is a one-of-a-kind online tool designed to precisely measure the operational efficiency and sustainability of datacenters and IT infrastructures.

As datacenters face increasing demands on energy consumption and sustainability, the SDEA Navigator provides a comprehensive platform to measure both energy efficiency and the carbon footprint, delivering actionable insights.

The Navigator brings together and improves upon widely recognized industry standards, such as EN 50600 and ISO/IEC 30134, helping datacenters to not just meet but exceed industry standards for efficiency and sustainability.

What Does the SDEA Navigator Include?

The SDEA Navigator provides a comprehensive, full-stack assessment of your datacenters efficiency and environmental impact through three specialized calculators.

These calculators can be used individually or combined as an integrated index, offering flexibility to focus on specific areas or gain a complete overview of your efficiency.

  • DC Infrastructure Efficiency: An enhanced PUE calculator that includes options for heat recovery or on-premise renewables.

  • IT Infrastructure Efficiency: Measures the utilization of servers, storage, and network – but also considers factors like technology excellence and operating temperature classification.

  • Carbon Footprint: An enhanced CUE calculator that includes life-cycle emissions of ingress energy.

Together, these calculators provide a comprehensive overview of your datacenters efficiency and environmental impact.

How Do I Use the
SDEA Navigator?

To get started with the SDEA Navigator, simply create an account and add credits for one or multiple dashboards. Enter your KPIs for your datacenter, IT infrastructure, or both, and the Navigator will automatically calculate your efficiency indices and your carbon footprint.

Once your results meet the SDEA criteria, you can easily move from measurement to certification – proving that your datacenter isn’t just compliant, but setting the standard for sustainable digital infrastructure.

What Makes SDEA Label Different?

Unlike traditional labels or standards that focus on isolated efficiency metrics, SDEA Label combines all critical aspects of sustainable datacenter operations into a single certification.

While it reflects elements from well-known standards – including PUE, heat recycling, server utilization, or carbon emissions – it goes further by enhancing and integrating them into a unified framework that covers both infrastructure efficiency and environmental sustainability.

This all-in-one approach enables you to measure, optimize, and certify your operations across multiple dimensions, positioning your organization as a leader in both sustainability and compliance.

Why Should You Choose SDEA Label?

SDEA Label is the only certification that evaluates the full efficiency and sustainability performance of both your datacenter and IT infrastructure – in one integrated, independently verified framework.

As digital operations scale and regulations evolve, SDEA Label delivers measured results, not marketing promises – empowering you to prove real progress toward ESG goals and climate commitments.

In today’s competitive landscape, being certified with SDEA Label signals a deep commitment to responsible growth and future-proofing your operations.

How Can You Earn SDEA Label?

Earning SDEA Label is a straightforward process:

First, create an account in the SDEA Navigator and open a dashboard to input your KPIs. The Navigator automatically calculates your efficiency and sustainability indices.

Once you’ve reviewed your metrics and have reached the label thresholds, an independent auditor will validate your results – and the SDEA Board will review the audit report to determine your certification level.

Whether it’s GOLD, SILVER, or BRONZE, achieving SDEA Label showcases your commitment to sustainability and ensures your datacenter is prepared for the challenges of the future.
