The Swiss Datacenter Efficiency Association (SDEA) proudly announces that Digital Realty has achieved the inaugural "GOLD Plus" certification – the first company to receive this prestigious recognition, underscoring its leadership in sustainable datacenter operations.
Digital Realty's datacenters in Glattbrugg, ZUR1 and ZUR2, have been rigorously assessed under the SDEA's certification process for "DC Infrastructure." This evaluation focuses on the energy efficiency and environmental impact of the datacenter's infrastructure, including electrical, cooling, and heat recycling systems.
ZUR1, a facility with over two decades of operational excellence, was awarded the "SILVER Plus" certification, recognizing its sustained commitment to infrastructure efficiency. ZUR2, operational since 2020, received the 'GOLD Plus' certification, highlighting its advanced approach to energy efficiency and minimal carbon footprint within its infrastructure.
