The Swiss Datacenter Efficiency Association (SDEA) has been shortlisted by Capacity Media for the "Best Sustainability & Environmental, Social, Governmental (ESG) Initiative" category at the Global Connectivity Awards 2025. The awards ceremony will take place on October 22, 2025, at Indigo at The O2 in London.

This nomination represents recognition of SDEA's work as a non-profit organization focused on accountability in datacenter sustainability. The shortlist selection reflects what SDEA has consistently emphasized: transparency and measurable efficiency are gaining ground as foundational requirements in the industry.
The Global Connectivity Awards have recognized achievements in the connectivity industry for 21 years. The 2025 event brings together over 500 industry professionals from 30+ countries to acknowledge innovation and leadership in digital infrastructure. Being recognized among industry participants – many of which are large commercial operators and technology providers – indicates that independent, measurement-based approaches to sustainability are becoming relevant to decision-makers in the sector.
SDEA's approach centers on the SDEA Label and the SDEA Navigator platform, which provide independently audited certification based on verified performance data rather than projections or commitments. The organization measures datacenter infrastructure efficiency, IT infrastructure efficiency, and carbon footprint across the full technology stack.
The nomination follows SDEA's previous recognition as a finalist at the DCS Awards 2025 in London, where the SDEA Navigator was shortlisted in the "Data Centre Sustainability Innovation of the Year" category.
SDEA extends its congratulations to all organizations shortlisted in the various categories and looks forward to the awards ceremony on October 22.
